founded by Hans Süss
1976 Hans Süss, our company founder, was its managing director and powerhouse of its ideas for many years, making a decisive contribution to SBI's success. At the end of 2016, he withdrew from the day-to-day running of the company. At the beginning, the office drew up plans for heating, cooling and air conditioning technologies.
Holger Süss enters the company
After completing his engineering studies at RWTH Aachen, he gained professional experience in San Francisco at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories and in Stuttgart at M+W Zander Group before starting at SBI at the end of 1998.
Wolfram Seidel enters the company
Range of services expanded
to include overall planning of the additional fields of sanitation, electrical technology, elevator and conveyor technology and building automation.
Christian Süss enters the company
After completing his engineering studies at the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology, he gained professional experience in San Francisco at Silverman & Light and in Munich at Kühn, Bauer & Partners before starting at SBI at the start of 2001.
Frankfurt office opened
Appointment of Stephan Plass as branch manager.

Senior Management Team
Süss Consulting Engineers was founded in Nuremberg in 1976 by its Senior Partner, Hans Süss, who carefully developed it into a planning office of renown far beyond its home region. With the entry of his sons into the firm in 1998 and 2001, he took care of succession early on. At the same time, by expanding the range of services and opening a second office in Munich, the course was set towards more rapid growth.
